Every so often, I visit Berjaya Times Square for a cinema show. Why not? It is one of the most convenient cinema locations from my office, which is located nearby Petaling Street.
However, I have observed that there is a lack of CCTV cameras immediately outside the toilets. It could be I am mistaken, and there are in fact cameras, but hidden. But from the looks of things, the toilets located on floor 4 (where the GSC cinema is - the parking has dolphins) are not watched by CCTV camera. And that is scary, especially after a late night movie, when you visit the toilet before going home. The place would be eeriely quiet. The management should at least stick a few dummy cameras on the ceiling to deter would-be rapists/molesters.
Another floor that I recently observed, the toilet apparently lacking a CCTV immediately outside is the 10th floor, where the Food Court resides. There too is the location of the IMAX Cinema, boasting HUGE screens. The posters scream that it is five times the size of ordinary cinema screens.
If you are reading this and feel a pang of worry, then do the right thing. Contact the management of Berjaya Times Square. (link)
