the privy of sleep

a good night's sleep is my privilege:
a luxury i can scant afford.
they say, you sleep more when you're at my age.
but what to do when you are bored?

the dreams we dream, like misty realms.
a nightmare's scream will overwhelm
my partner's slumber deep
and from her mouth, a scream shall leap.
