Thank You (for Elections)

"Thank you" to one and all,
Who responded to the call,
To let a lawyer in
And take part in the din.

"Thank you" for your faith,
and your kind support;
I learned a lot along the way
And did not lose the plot.

I do not claim to be
the very best there is.
But I owe it to myself to try
to keep the standards high.

Support and encouragement
And a little critique, too:
We need to have a little less talk
And a little more "do".
